Ah what a strange moment! At the beginning of 2020, with no coding experience, I thought "You know, why not take up a new hobby?" and now, one pandemic later, here I am with a demo to share! It's been a hell of a few years and tbh I'm not completely sure how I managed to get this far haha! But I'm excited to be able to say "Look I did a thing!".

Moonlight in Garland is basically my love letter to city life. It's a fairly traditional life/farming sim but set in the heart of a bustling city. I love farming sims but I really wanted to play something that I could relate to more directly with modern themes and to feel like I could take the ideas of the world and apply them to myself to find a little magic irl.

In the demo you can move into Cedar Court Apartments, sprout relationships with the city residents, solve problems in your building, grow a garden and just, you know, chill out. Starting the journey totally burnt out from life, you'll need to learn to manage both your physical and mental energy to keep yourself going along the way.

So basically the theme of the game is growth, both in game and irl because I've grown so much as a game dev and a person over the last 2 years making it!

The free demo is an early alpha so please let me know if you find any bugs or have suggestions. I'm excited to hear from you!
